IMPORTANT WORKSHOP/PAINT PARTY INFORMATION

DESIGNS:

In order to ensure a streamlined process the night of the party, all projects and designs must be pre-selected. Please choose when registering.

 

Please note: On designs that offer personalization we will use the FONT and Style verbiage shown in the sample - replaced with your name/dates/etc..

 

ALL DESIGNS take a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to a scheduled event to create. All sign designs must be completed, approved AND READY TO CUT within 3 days of your scheduled event. 

 

PAYMENT:

Payment for your reservation is due no later than 3 days prior to your event date. 

 

To book your reservation, please click on the project you want, then, select the design, if any, and/or any additional items (i.e., a frame) and proceed to the checkout. Please be sure to provide any specific information needed for your design in the notes section at checkout. ​

 

Signs and Designs will not be cut until payment has been received. Payments not received within 3 days of the event date will result in cancellation of your reservation.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:

Handmade by You reserves the right to cancel workshops if registration is below 3 attendees. This is the only instance in which fees will be refunded.

Due to the customized nature of our products, and the prep-work involved, all other registration fees are non-refundable. Registration cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of a workshop can be used toward a future workshop, or, if requested, we will create the sign for you.

 

THE FUN STUFF:

The average time to complete your sign is about 3 hours. During that time you will be staining or painting your boards with a base coat, applying your stencil, and painting your design. Throughout the entire process, I will be walking you through each step, helping you use the proper technique, and answering any questions you have. The stain and paint I use is water-based, odor-free and dries very quickly. 

DISCLAIMER:

  1. You must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol on the premises. Handmade by You does not sell, store or give away alcohol. We strongly suggest that those groups drinking alcohol have a designated driver.

  2. Handmade by You/Pam Benziger will not bear liability for obvious risks and for risks that HBY cannot control.

  3. The stain and paint will wash off hands easily but will stain clothing. Please dress appropriately. HBY is not responsible for damage to clothing. We do provide aprons but they do not cover everything.

  4. HBY is not responsible for personal effects while on our premises.

  5. The fee to attend is for use of the facility, wood, stencil, stain, paint, supplies, and for instruction only.

  6. HBY reserves the right to publish pictures of student artists on our website, social media and/or advertisements.

          You will receive an email with the address and other details for the Workshop, once you've registered.
