IMPORTANT WORKSHOP/PAINT PARTY INFORMATION
In order to ensure a streamlined process the night of the party, all projects and designs must be pre-selected. Please choose when registering.
ALL DESIGNS take a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to a scheduled event to create.
Payment for your reservation is due no later than 5 days prior to your event date.
To book your reservation, please click on the project you want, then, and proceed to the checkout.
Signs and Designs will not be cut until payment has been received. Payments not received within 4 days of the event date will result in cancellation of your reservation.
WORKSHOP REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY:
Due to the customized nature of our products, and the prep-work involved, registration fees are non-refundable. Registration cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of a workshop can be used toward a future workshop, or, if requested, we will create the sign for you.
THE FUN STUFF:
Please do your best to arrive by 5:30, to give yourself time to visit a bit, grab a bite to eat and something to drink, choose your paint colors and settle in to paint.
Instruction and painting will start promptly at 6:00 pm. The average time to complete your sign is 2-3 hours. During that time you will be staining your board (several colors to choose from), lightly sanding, applying your stencil, and painting your design (even more colors to choose from.) Finally, you'll finish by laying down a coat of Poly and attaching a hanger on the back, if desired.
Throughout the entire process, we will be walking you through each step, helping you use proper technique, and answering any questions you have. Please try to follow-along with the instructor, as we follow a completely different process than other paint parties, and we want you to be happy with the sign you create.
The stain and paint we use is water-based, odor-free and dries very quickly. We provide aprons but they don't cover everything. The paint will easily wash off your hands with just water, but it WILL stain your clothes, so please dress accordingly. (Long sleeves should be able to be pushed up or not worn at all. Definitely no "flowy" sleeves, please.)
1. You must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol. We strongly suggest that those groups drinking alcohol have a designated driver.
2. Handmade by You/Pam Benziger will not bear liability for obvious risks and for risks that HBY cannot control.
3. The stain and paint will wash off hands but will stain clothing. Please dress appropriately. HBY is not responsible for damage to clothing. We do provide aprons but they do not cover everything.
5. HBY reserves the right to publish pictures of student artists on our website, social media and/or advertisements.
A day or so before the Workshop, you will receive an email with special instructions and other details.
